Municipalities love taxes and self rule. That's the way it works and I'm not sure it's all bad. I'm not a fan of one size fits all. Of course, you can get stuck with it worse, but I'd say you likely have it better than living in St. Louis City. There's always trade offs. Love to see more opinions on this.
